If I invited you to play a game, but didn't tell you how to play or what the rules were, would you expect to win? I can't imagine anyone would even want to play to begin with. Yet, most Americans do not know the "rules" of our economic system and seemingly go along with it without question. Worse, many of them think they are on the winning team (we're the freest, greatest, strongest, etc...).
This leads back, as it frequently does, to education. I'm not only talking about public education and the sorry state it is in here, but also independent study and reflection. We all need to foster a curious mind and continually question why things are they way they are. Once we do that we'll be able to better understand the rules of capitalism. From there it'll become readily apparent that the majority of us are nowhere near winning and that the game has been rigged the whole time.
